Join dLCV Staff Attorney, Jessie Strauser, and Voices for Virginia’s Children Policy and Programs Director, Allison Gilbreath, MSW, for a virtual presentation on a trauma-informed approach to addressing the behavior needs and school disciplinary rights of children with disabilities in foster care. They will discuss policies, procedures, and funding that apply to and can expedite processes for children in foster care with IEPs; specific trauma-informed behavior interventions that may help prevent school disciplinary measures against these children; as well as relevant school disciplinary processes, legal requirements, and protections
